Dr Nigel Reynolds graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 1987. Since this time he has worked in general practice, exclusively since 1998 in private practice. He first became involved with dental implants in 1991.
Leading on from practice experience Nigel gained the Certificate in Surgical and Prosthodontic Implantology (Eastman Dental Institute) in 2002 and the Certificate in Advanced Surgical Implantology (Eastman Dental Institute) in 2004. While maintaining his interest in general dentistry by gaining the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice (Eastman Dental Institute) in 2005.
Nigel is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, European Association of Osseointegration, and the Association of Dental Implantology (UK). He has attended numerous courses and conferences overseas both in Europe and the USA and various Master Classes in the UK. Nigel is currently an Astratech Clinical Coach for the Southwest UK.
Nigel believes that the placement of implants should be prosthetically driven. To this end his extensive experience of performing pre-implant bone grafting procedures including 'sinus lifts' and block grafts from the chin or ramus has proved invaluable. Furthermore, as part of aesthetic treatment Nigel routinely performs soft tissue grafting / augmentation and guided tissue regeneration.
