Nigel has been involved in the implant field for over twenty years and founded the Southwest Implant Centre in 2002. He has attained postgraduate qualifications in implant dentistry from the World’s pre-eminent centres in this field; Diploma in Implant Dentistry (Advanced) Royal College of Surgeons (UK), Global 1st prize attained on completion of the Master Implant Clinician Programme University of Los Angeles Dental School gIDE™(USA), Advanced Certificate in Implant Dentistry and certificate in Surgical and Prosthodontic Implant Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute London (UK). Additionally, Nigel has attained the Diploma in Dental Restorative Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute London (UK).
Nigel has attended the World's leading implant clinics to gain experience and knowledge. He is proud to offer his patients the very best in dental implant treatments in a safe and predictable manner.
Nigel is a faculty member of the Royal College of Surgeons and as such is an assessor and tutor for the postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology, teaching postgraduate dental surgeons.
Nigel currently accepts referrals from the dental profession to carry out implant placements, sinus grafts, block grafts and all advanced forms of dental implant treatment. He is a provider of the 'All on 4' concept (full mouth implant replace teeth) same day teeth for Oasis Healthcare.
Additionally Nigel has an extensive experience of full mouth dental rehabilitations bringing together all disciplines of dentistry. Nigel routinely treats complex treatment cases involving advanced gum disease, significant tooth decay and/or wear that are otherwise challenging. Nigel can also offer gingival (gum) plastic surgery for patients with 'gummy' smiles or receding gums. Other surgical treatments include wisdom tooth removal, frenectomies (lip tie removal) and periodontal surgery.
